At the Cloverdale Community Association, we’re committed to fostering meaningful partnerships that strengthen our neighbourhood and empower future leaders. This spring, we had the pleasure of collaborating with students from Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s ARTS 4800 Practicum — a program designed to bridge academic learning with hands-on, real-world experience.

Through this initiative, two senior undergraduate students joined forces with the CCA, the Cloverdale Business Improvement Association (CBIA), and the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce to explore pressing issues within our community. Their research focused on accessibility and housing insecurity, key topics shaping Cloverdale’s long-term planning.

By engaging directly with residents and community stakeholders, the students helped gather valuable insights to support a collaborative community vision plan. Their contributions exemplify the value of connecting post-secondary education with grassroots community development.

This project reflects our ongoing commitment to inclusive growth, youth empowerment, and cross-sector collaboration. We’re incredibly grateful to all participating partners — especially the CBIA — for supporting this important work.
